Take some time during your weekend to do something good! Help participate in cleaning up our world’s waters! Be a part of the solution to the trash pollution problem! Come on out and be a member of the National Harbor River Cleanup!
As a part of the Potomac Riverkeeper Network’s Trash-Free Potomac Campaign and Alice Ferguson Foundations Trash-Free Initiative, the Potomac Riverkeeper Network is hosting a River Cleanup day, once a month since May until October.
Volunteers of all ages are welcome to help remove the single-use plastic and trash that has accumulated along the shoreline. Please dress appropriately for the task at hand, bring a reusable water bottle, and snacks if necessary.
Please arrive 30 minutes before the start time of the event for registration and to hand out the necessary materials.
Additionally, please complete the volunteer waiver using this link. Anyone under the age of 18 participating must have a parent or legal guardian attend with them and sign their waiver.
In August, the River Cleanup Date is Saturday, August 20th from 9 am until 12 noon.
Gather your family, friends, and any else to participate in the National Harbor Cleanup!
