Lucky Danger, a new Chinese spot on I Street, is anything but average. Open since December, this locally owned takeout joint is owned by a Chinese American who is infusing the flavors of their heritage and taking diners by storm.
The way it works is every day around midnight they open up spots on Tock for pickup, you have to grab them quickly and primetime like 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. can fill up fast. Once you get your pickup time slot, you submit your order, arrive at your time, and grab and go!
The menu is super unique. You’ll find staples like hot and sour soup, beef lo mein, sweet and sour chicken, and shrimp fried rice. However, you’ll also find unique options like braised pork with preserved veggies, eggplant with basil, duck fried rice, wontons, and winter melon, and so much more. If you want to try a smorgasbord of food, go for one of the family-style combos. They have two different varieties that include six different dishes for only $45. A good way to try it all! Enjoy!
