When Chef Alberto Vega first developed the idea for what would eventually become Casta’s Rum Bar he imagined something that would truly capture the atmosphere of a Cuban street. Regulars at Casta’s say he has succeeding admirably at bringing that vision to life. The space itself is decorated to create a colorful indoor-outdoor atmosphere that allows you to flow through different spaces in the bar as you sip your mojito and nibble on Cuban fare. If you head out to the patio area you can even order off of the bar’s unique cigar menu, which includes a range of cigars carefully selected to go with the bar’s 45-plus rums.

Whether you’re interested in rum-heavy cocktails or Cuban fare like ceviche with plantain chips (or both), you just might find yourself believing that you’ve been transported to a charming, mid-century Havana neighborhood (complete with 1950s Chevys).
